Youtravel.com can today announce three exciting changes within their team, Matthew Carpenter previously Chief Sales Officer will now move into the position of General Manager, taking the lead of the Youtravel business.
FTI Group COO Samantha Stimpson commented "We are delighted to announce the internal promotion of Matthew Carpenter to Youtravel General Manager. Matt has been a successful and dedicated leader within Youtravel for nearly 8 years and I’m positive that under his leadership Youtravel will continue to grow."
Carpenter said of his appointment as GM "I am extremely excited to be appointed as General Manager for Youtravel, I’ve been in the Youtravel business for many years and I’m looking forward to taking my experience into this leadership position to help Youtravel move to the next level. We have some very exciting plans that we look forward to sharing with our partners soon."
Following Carpenter’s promotion to General Manager, Youtravel can also confirm the internal appointments of Malak Mezher to Global Head of Sales, Previously Mezher was Key Account Manager for Youtravel’s Global Business and Orla Kern to Senior UK Key Account Manager. Kern will now take the lead in the UK market, She will also be responsible for sourcing a new Key Account Manager to join the UK team.
Carpenter said on the appointment of Mezher as Head of Sales "I’m thrilled to announce Malak’s move into the newly formed role of Head of Sales, Malak has shown during her 5 years at Youtravel that she is a team player with a fantastic attitude and extremely important partner relationships in the global market. I am 100% convinced that Malak is the right person for the job and we are excited to see her progress and growth in this new position."
On the appointment of Kern to Senior UK Key Account Manager - Carpenter said: "We are delighted to announce Orla’s new role - Orla has been instrumental in maintaining and growing our share in the UK market over the past few years and we are looking forward to that growing under her leadership."
